We will support you in hiring and training staff, establishing policies and procedures, directing workflow, choosing counsel and assisting in the selection of a claims file system. Interviewing and Hiring Support
The RM&PSI will provide support in the interviewing and evaluation process of candidates for risk management positions. This support consists of the use of an evaluation tool with risk management-related scenarios to assess critical thinking skills and risk management knowledge and decision making. The tool assesses attitude and beliefs as well as risk management skills and includes a one-hour phone interview with up to two candidates. This support will assist the leadership staff in determining the best candidate for the position. A formal timeline incorporating the respective steps in the hiring process and dates will be provided based on collaboration between The RM&PSI and the client. The requirements for successful hiring support are:
- provide current position description and performance appraisal criteria
- provide candidate resumes
- schedule interviews with candidates
- supply The RM&PSI with a verbal or written summary of the selection process
Outsourced Quality Management Services
Provided on a temporary or long-term staffing basis, this service is tailored to meet your facility’s needs. Functions include directing and/or developing a quality/performance improvement plan; enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of processes related to care coordination and case management; assessing and critiquing your facility’s current quality program and tools to evaluate whether adequate measurements are being taken for your high-risk, high-volume, high-cost, problem-prone, high-profile areas to ensure a strong potential for satisfying requirements of customers, regulators and accrediting bodies; and much more. We believe that quality and risk are an integrated function of a strong patient safety program; therefore, our temporary staff may assist in leading your organization toward a collaborative and comprehensive patient safety and performance improvement program. The team of experts designated to support the on-site consultant includes individuals certified in risk and quality. The RM&PSI consultant may also assist the organization in candidate selection to fill open quality positions and provide coaching for selected quality staff.
Outsourced Risk Management Services
Provided on a temporary or long-term staffing basis, this service is tailored to meet your facility’s needs. Functions include:
- developing and directing proactive risk management program with on-site supervision and leadership
- assisting in managing the risk management program by placing staff on-site to achieve mutually agreed upon expectations
- providing access to a team of experts in enterprise risk management/patient safety to support all functions and processes
- providing long-term or temporary staff to meet an urgent issue, special assignment or staff absence
