Risk Management and Patient Safety Specialist
Debra is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of combined clinical and administrative experience in community hospitals and long-term care settings. She has extensive experience in infection control, quality improvement, risk management, and emergency medical services. Before joining The RM&PSI, Debra worked as an infection control preventionist for a large health care system in Michigan. She also spent nearly 15 years directing infection control, quality improvement, risk management, employee health, and nursing education programs at a community hospital and four years as the director of nursing for a 117-bed skilled nursing facility.
Debra earned her BSN, MSN, and MBA degrees from the University of Phoenix. Deb has obtained certifications in infection control and health care risk management. She is a member of the Michigan Society of Healthcare Risk Management and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management with past memberships in the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
