Program Description
Risk is Capital. Initiatives in health care reform, the current economic crisis, and the scrutiny of health care delivery by consumers and regulators all mandate that health care organizations have a thorough understanding and knowledge of processes, systems, and activities that generate risk. If managed appropriately and timely, risks can create a competitive advantage. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is an organizational-wide process that identifies the relationship between risks and their impact. An effective ERM program is comprehensive in its focus, supported by the Board and senior leadership, and requires the involvement of all with the organization.
This program will assist the health care executive in understanding the necessary steps in implementing an ERM program regardless of organizational size or structure.
As a result of this presentation, participants will be able to:
-
Define Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and articulate the difference between conventional/traditional risk management and ERM.
-
Identify steps in developing an ERM program.
-
Relate to the various risks in the organization, classify risks by domains/areas, and determine their impact and materiality through the use of various tools.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link and instructions to download the audio MP3 file and handout materials.
